Tips for using shampoo bars: Wet your hair and rub the bar over the hair to create a creamy lather. You will need to use plenty of water. If you feel there isn’t enough lather, just add more water! Some people like to use a diluted cider vinegar as a conditioning rinse. Put a splash of vinegar in a jug of water and use it after rinsing all of the shampoo out of your hair. As you pour it over your hair you will notice how your hair becomes immediately soft and silky. Then do a final rinse. Avoid contact with eyes as it will sting. If you get it in your eyes rinse with plenty of water.
Good to know: If you are using an all-natural shampoo bar for the first time, it may take some time for your hair and scalp to get used to it as it goes through a period of “detox”. It takes a while for the chemicals that have built up on your hair to be washed out and your scalp may also take some time to get back to producing its natural amount of sebum again. During this time your hair may feel “gunky”, greasy, dull or drier than usual. Please persevere – it’ll be worth it! Please be aware that not all shampoo bars are natural. Most of the round discs made with little noodles may contain chemicals (e.g. SLS) which are found in many liquid shampoos and not only terrible for you, but also the aquatic system.

I've been using a New Zealand brand of solid state shampoo for a few years but sadly they've shut down in the UK. I've been on the hunt for a reliable, replacement brand. I'm only a couple of weeks into using this shampoo bar but it's my favourite to date. I also purchased the other scents to try, so I can decide if this will be my 'go to' brand and which scent will be my preferred choice.
I wasn't sure how Seaweed would smell but it's pleasantly minty and refreshing. It's got a very slight build up, which helps my very fine hair in terms of giving it a slightly thicker feel.
I really liked how it was packaged and was plastic free.
It seems to be lasting well so far and the bar feels nice and solid (some brands crumble).

Foams well and I find the fragrance is good. My hair is still ok after a couple of days. I’m pushing through to day 3 tomorrow, as I usually wash my hair twice a week.
