We are a family-run maker of soap and skincare products based in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. Our products are handmade in our workshop, nestled between the 13th Century Old Inverlochy Castle and the River Lochy, and looking over the north face of Ben Nevis, the UK’s highest mountain. Our beautiful highland landscape has always been the source of inspiration for our products.
Our soap is handmade by a centuries-old, traditional process. In this slow method of soap production, it takes us around four weeks to cure each carefully prepared batch. Our handmade cold-process soaps are mild and moisturising on sensitive, dry skin. We use organic and natural ingredients and sustainable packaging in a small-scale batch process to create what we believe are the finest and most ethical soap and skincare products made in Scotland.
We keep our packaging simple and recyclable. Our bottles, jars and lids are made from post-consumer recycled packaging that can be easily recycled or refilled instore or from one of our 1L glass refill bottles. Our shampoo, body wash and conditioner bottles are made with plastic derived from sugarcane, not oil, and we sell our shampoo bars in the manner they should be used – naked! In order to keep our products safe in transit we use 100% home-compostable void fill made from annually renewable sources, such as corn husks, and never polystyrene even if they do look similar. Just hold a handful under a tap and watch it dissolve.
