    Highlanders have long valued the tiny white flowers and blue-green leaves of bog myrtle. It's been used to flavour ale, and the beautifully fragrant leaves used to keep away midges. The plant thrives in Highland peat bogs, alongside rivers and on the edge of our lochs.

    We wild-harvest the little waxy leaves of the bog myrtle plant in the early summer and believe we are the only UK company to distil it and make it into essential oil for use in soap and skincare - check out the video of the process below. We are big believers in its medicinal and anti-ageing properties.

    Bog myrtle leaf oil is reputed to be extremely useful for sensitive skin and acne, as well as helping to delay skin-ageing. Our handmade soap has a lovely fresh herbal lemony scent to gently cleanse, nourish and help brighten dull, tired skin. Naturally fragranced with plant extracts and essential oils. 190g

    Reminder of my holidays in Scotland

    I fell in love with the Highland Soap Company during my holidays in Scotland, bought a few items and then ordered more online.
    The Service from the gorgeous ladies in the service team and shipping to Germany were absolutely superb - thank you!
    I really like the luxurious lather and the natural and long-lasting smell of the soap. It is a nice reminder of my stay in the great landscape. I took the hint from another review and cut the big bar in three pieces-it was far easier than I thought and makes the soap easier to handle.

    I buy Highland products normally from a shop and at times online. Never had any complaints on all the products I have purchased.
    Why?
    The quality of the Scottish bog myrtle soap is the BEST, it has moisturised my 70 year old skin beautifully:). It also works as barrier to the dreaded midge.
