These conditions shall apply to all sales transactions between The Highland Soap Company (The Highland Soap Co. Limited) and any person, firm or company ("the Purchaser") placing an order with The Highland Soap Company for the manufacture and/or supply of any goods ("the Goods"). The Highland Soap Company by accepting any order for Goods from the Purchaser agrees to sell and the Purchaser agrees to purchase such Goods at the price stated on The Highland Soap Company's website or order form and on the sole basis of the terms and conditions of The Highland Soap Company stated herein.
1. PRICE: Prices for Goods include standard packaging and VAT. The price does not include the delivery of the order to the Purchaser. This is an additional cost, unless otherwise stated.
2. TAX: The Purchaser may incur additional import duties and custom charges levied by local customs against orders dispatched to addresses outside The United Kingdom. These are levied at the port of ingress on a consignment-by-consignment basis and we cannot predict if they will be charged or influence if and how they may be levied.
3. SECURE ONLINE PAYMENT: The Highland Soap Company provides a secure payment system by utilising the services of PayPoint.net Limited for all online payments. Payments can be submitted online using protocol 128 bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer), the strongest commercially available level of encryption. The private data of the Purchaser will be encrypted at all times whilst in transit over the Internet. The Purchaser should see a solid padlock in their browser status bar which indicates that the encryption is taking place. Card payments can be made using Visa, Mastercard, Visa Debit and Maestro.
Goods will only be despatched once payment has been received in full.
4. RETENTION OF TITLE: Property in the Goods shall not pass until the full amount has been paid.
5. DELIVERY: The Highland Soap Company will make every effort to despatch orders within 5 working days of receipt. The standard delivery prices listed on the website include a 2-7 day delivery service within the UK mainland (England, Scotland and Scottish Highlands). Deliveries outside the UK mainland will be between 7-10 days, depending upon the destination. Deliveries outside of the UK Mainland will incur a surplus delivery cost. All international orders will be treated separately. We accept orders and ship to UK and European addresses only.
The Royal Mail will attempt delivery and if the recipient is not at home a card will be left with written instructions asking them to contact their local post office to arrange collection. It is then the recipient's responsibility to contact the Royal Mail and arrange for collection.
It is the Purchasers responsibility to ensure that a recipient or representative is present to sign for the delivery. If the delivery is returned to The Highland Soap Company, re-delivery will not be possible and the order will be cancelled and Purchaser refunded in full.

6. COMPLAINTS/CUSTOMER SERVICE: The Purchaser should inform The Highland Soap Company immediately of any problems by Telephone +44 (0)1397 779001, or Email orders@highlandsoaps.com. Complaints are taken very seriously by The Highland Soap Company and will be dealt with within 5 working days, although most complaints can be corrected within a few hours. Please note that the Purchaser is also welcome to contact The Highland Soap Company on any issue relating to their order on the contact telephone, or email listed above. The Highland Soap Company operating hours are from 10:00 GMT to 16:00 GMT, Monday to Friday.
7. DAMAGED GOODS: If the Goods are damaged, the Purchaser should contact The Highland Soap Company within 3 days of receipt of Goods. Damaged Goods must be returned to The Highland Soap Company, Spean Bridge, Highlands, PH34 4EP suitably packaged. The Highland Soap Company will replace or refund the items concerned.
8. REFUND POLICY: The Purchaser has the right to cancel the agreement at any time before the expiry of a period of 7 working days beginning with the day after the day on which you receive the goods. You may cancel by giving us notice in any of the following ways; by email orders@highlandsoaps.com or by telephone on +44 (0)1397 779001. The Purchaser will have their payment returned in full and we ask that any goods are returned to The Highland Soap Company, Spean Bridge, Highlands, PH34 4EP suitably packaged.
9. FORCE MAJEURE: The Highland Soap Company will exercise every reasonable effort to meet the requested despatch date. The Highland Soap Company shall not, however, be liable for any loss or damage due to delays or failure to ship resulting from any cause beyond its reasonable control, such as but not limited to compliance with laws or regulations, acts of God, acts or omissions of the Purchaser, acts of civil or military authority, judicial action, defaults of sub-contractors or suppliers, labour disputes, failure or delays in transportation, embargoes, wars or riots.
10. ONLINE PRESENCE: No warranty is given by The Highland Soap Company that their website will be constantly online or free of defects and errors at any time.
11. PRIVACY POLICY: The Highland Soap Company collects the information provided by the Purchaser at the time of ordering and uses this information lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. Information is collected by The Highland Soap Company to process the Purchaser's order and also to provide the highest level of customer service possible. 12. PRODUCT VARIATIONS: Please be aware that product colour and texture variations occur occasionally, and naturally as part of the handmade manufacturing process and nature of the raw plant ingredients we use.
13. JURISDICTION: These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with relevant United Kingdom law and the relevant courts of the United Kingdom will have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to the Agreement.
None of the above terms affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
