Our retail workshops are located in Fort William and Spean Bridge, in one of the most stunning parts of West Highland Scotland. With breathtaking views towards the Grey Corries Mountains, The Great Glen, and the shadows of the north face of Ben Nevis. Our beautiful highland landscape has always been the source of inspiration for our products.
Our soap is handmade by century’s old, traditional processes using only the purest and finest natural ingredients. This slow method of soap production takes us around 4-weeks to cure each carefully prepared small batch. Our cold-process natural soaps are mild and moisturising on sensitive, dry skin. Some basic facts about our products:
- Made in the Highlands of Scotland. We use traditional handcrafted manufacturing processes with an emphasis on locally fresh, natural ingredients and herbal therapy. With many of our sustainably sourced natural plant ingredients, precious oils and butters being grown organically, ethically or wild-harvested.
- Certified Organic ingredients. We source organic ingredients for our products that are certified by internationally-recognised agricultural bodies such as the Soil Association. We also publish a products full list of ingredients on our website, and we put on our labels exactly how organic a product is. You may wonder why some percentages are lower; this is because water is not considered organic and nor are some of the wild-harvested ingredients we use.
- All of our products are vegetarian friendly. There are no genetically modified (GM) ingredients, and all our products and ingredients are 100% Cruelty-Free, and not tested on animals. The non-vegan ingredients we may use are honey and beeswax.
- SLS FREE: Our handmade soaps are free from artificial synthetic surfactants (foaming ingredients), such as SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate) or SLES, and our organic creams and lotions contain No Paraben preservatives.
- We endeavour to keep our packaging simple, minimal and recyclable to avoid it clogging up dustbins and the environment. We endeavour to source only sustainable and recycled supplies. All of our bottles, jars and lids can be easily recycled after you have finished using the product. In order to keep our products safe in transit we use 100% biodegradable void fill made from annually renewable sources, such as corn husks. This material can be reused many times or composted.
