The cross used on this stone effect wall plaque is taken from the stone found in the churchyard at Aberlemno, Scotland. The Aberlemno Churchyard Cross is one of the finest pieces of Pictish design known, and is thought to have been carved about AD700 to honour the decisive Pictish victory over the Angles of Northumbria at nearby Dumnichen.
Ready to hang, with descriptive notes about the original stone. Height 26cm
